Frequently Asked Questions
Will it damage my vinyl pool liner?
No. This is our customers’ top concern, and we’ve solved it. The bottom of the FITMAX Aquatic Treadmill features base rubber pads and smooth glides designed exclusively to protect all types of pool bottoms, including delicate vinyl liners, fiberglass, and concrete.
What is the ideal water depth and weight limit?
The ideal pool depth is 3’7″ to 4’8″. When standing on the treadmill, the water level should ideally be between your waist and chest for optimal buoyancy and low-impact rehab. Weight capacity supports up to 300 lbs.
Does it need a motor? How do I adjust the speed?
It is 100% manual and requires ZERO electricity, making it completely safe with no risk of shock. You are the motor! The resistance naturally adjusts to your pace.
(Important Safety Note: NEVER use the aqua treadmill out of the water. It is exclusively designed for underwater resistance.)
How do I keep it from moving while I’m walking?
Thanks to its robust build (83 lbs of heavy-duty materials) and internal cavities that fill with water once submerged, the treadmill stays firmly anchored to the pool floor, ensuring a stable, slip-free workout even during vigorous walking.
At 83 lbs, is it hard to move in and out of the pool?
While the 83 lbs weight ensures maximum stability underwater, we’ve made it easy to move. It comes equipped with built-in front casters. You simply tilt the treadmill forward by the handrails to engage the wheels, roll it to the pool edge, and let it glide gently into the water.
Can I leave it in the pool all year round? Will it rust in a saltwater pool?
The treadmill is built to withstand normal pool water (pH 7.0-7.6) and saltwater. However, we highly recommend storing the treadmill OUT of the water when not in regular use.
To maximize its lifespan and maintain its shiny finish, simply remove it after your workout, rinse it with fresh water, and towel dry it (especially after use in thermal or saltwater pools). Periodically wiping it with a stainless steel cleaning solution will keep it looking brand new.
Are there any preparations before using it for the first time?
Yes. Please remove all jewelry (rings, chains, pins) before exercising to avoid scratching the equipment or hurting yourself. We also recommend a 5-10 minute warm-up before stepping onto the treadmill. If you are using it for rehabilitation purposes, please consult and exercise under the supervision of a specialist.
