A Simple Routine That Actually Helped My Joints

Dear whoever needs to hear this,

I’ve had joint pain for over 3 years.
It started with my knees, then slowly my lower back joined the party.
It was always worse in the morning, and again in the evening when I was tired. Cold days made it worse. You probably know how that goes.

I tried the usual things.
Tylenol, stretching, PT.
Some helped a little, most didn’t last.
The truth is, I just got tired.
Not even just from the pain—but from the way pain rearranged everything in my life.

Anyway—
I didn’t mean to write a whole story here, but I guess I just wanted to say this:
the thing that actually helped, surprisingly, was warm water for joint pain.
Not fancy spa stuff. Just… heat and being able to move a little without it hurting worse.

I used to sit in the tub, because that’s what I had. At the time, I didn’t even know warm water for joint pain was a thing people talked about—it just felt good.
But eventually I got one of those backyard pools. The kind where you can actually stretch out and move.
It’s called the FitMAX theory iPool—I only mention the name in case you want to look it up.

I didn’t think it would do much, honestly.
But it did.

If you’re wondering what I actually do in the water—

honestly, not much.

I keep the water warm. Not hot.

Somewhere around 92°F to 95°F feels best for me.

Just warm enough that my body feels like it can breathe.

If it’s too hot, I get dizzy. If it’s too cool, the joints stay stiff.

I get in slowly.

Always with something nearby to hold onto—no sudden moves.

I just stand or sit, depending on the day.

Some days I only stretch my legs a bit.

Other days I’ll walk in place for a few minutes, or roll my shoulders underwater.

Small stuff. Easy on the body.

I try to keep it under 20 minutes.

If I go longer, I get tired the next day.

And I always rest after. Like, lay down for a bit. It helps settle everything.

That’s pretty much it.

It’s not magic. But it’s doable.

And most importantly—it doesn’t make things worse.

Which is more than I can say for a lot of treatments I’ve tried.

Anyway—

if nothing else, maybe this gave you an idea.

Something small to try. Something that won’t make things worse.

That’s all I wanted to share.

Take care of yourself.

And if you ever do try warm water for joint pain, even just once—I hope it brings you a little peace.
